We are a registered Locks of Love Salon!
Thank you for registering as a Locks of Love Participating Salon! We appreciate the commitment that your salon is making to help in our mission to serve children with medical hair loss. I will mail a packet that includes brochures, a decal for your salon to display, hair donation forms and guidelines.
If at some time in the future you no longer wish to participate, please notify us and remove the decal. Hair must be clean and dry, bundled securely in a braid or ponytail, and at least 10 inches long to be donated to Locks of Love. Permed and colored hair is acceptable. We cannot use hair that is bleached or matted. Please do not send hair that does not meet the hair donation guidelines.
Participating salons offer $15 blunt cut (one length no layers haircut) for anyone donating 10 or more inches of hair. Please be sure that donors know what services to expect when they make their appointment.
Most salons send the ponytails that they cut to Locks of Love. If it's more convenient, you may keep the hair until you get a large shipment, but please send the donation forms by fax or mail as soon as possible so that we can thank the donor promptly - and then do not include the donor information again when you send the hair. Another option is to encourage the donor to ship their ponytail with a tracking number so they will have confirmation of when the package arrives. Acknowledgement can take up to 90 days to arrive.
Please use the donation forms or a full size sheet of paper for donor information. Sticky notes, scraps and business cards are easily lost. We want to thank each individual, but if the information is not received no acknowledgement can be sent.
Look for Locks of Love Bears are now available to purchase online!
On behalf of the children whose lives will be improved by your support for Locks of Love we thank you! Please feel free to call me or send an e-mail with any questions that you might have.
Best Wishes,
